This detergent was specifically formulated for safe removal of soils/oils/sebum from a wide range of specialty fabrics. As with all cleaning agents, pre-test for color fastness. Many of these fabrics are the most sophisticated ever developed: Nomex, Kevlar, Polyamides, Polyimides, Imidazoles such as PBI (polybenzimidazole), Spectra and many others. These substrates are manufactured as monofilament extrusion, spun yarn and microporous film. Both the integrity of the fabric and user safety were prime considerations.
This truly is the best sport-wash available. Microfiber, high-loft, and microporous textiles are efficiently cleaned with no lingering residue. It provides gentle, thorough cleaning for both natural and synthetic undergarments replacing much more costly specialty cleaners (Nordstrom?). Also, organic textiles such as silk, linen and cotton are cleaned and left in their original state without residual chemicals...there's nothing like a favorite pair of jeans and a cotton tee after washing in this detergent- you can feel the difference!
Even in the civilian world textiles have evolved and become somewhat high-tech. Performance fabrics now help in supporting such body dynamics as flexibility, warming and cooling through engineered flexibility and selective moisture wicking. These necessary (and costly) enhancements can be negated by standard household detergents, bleaching agents and fabric softeners.
